Hunter Street East Pedestrian Crossover

The scope of work generally includes removal of localized concrete curb and gutters, concrete sidewalk, asphalt roadway, boulevard, granular road base, signage, and reconfiguration of the multi-use trail and crosswalk. The work will also include new traffic signals, landscaping, signage and pavement markings.

The City has awarded the above noted project to Drain Bros. Excavating Limited. Due to supply chain delays, work is tentatively rescheduled for spring 2025. 

To facilitate this work, the Rotary Trail will be closed from Robinson Street to Douro Street. A posted detour via Robinson Street, Rogers Street and Douro Street will be implemented. Hunter Street East at the Rotary Trail will experience lane reductions to a single lane by means of flagging operations. As a result, it is expected that local traffic may experience delays within the construction limits.
