Join the Great Community Litter Cleanup

Peterborough, ON – The City of Peterborough is encouraging residents to green up the City by participating in the Great Community Litter Cleanup.

The Great Community Litter Cleanup takes place from April 19, 2025 to April 27, 2025.

Community groups, families and friends are invited to join together and organize a neighbourhood litter cleanup.

Litter cleanup kits can requested and picked up at the Public Works office, 791 Webber Ave., between 7 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Groups can register for the Great Community Litter Cleanup by visiting peterborough.ca/LitterAction. The City will arrange designated pickup locations with participating groups to collect bags of litter.

City parks may be closed due to the ongoing risk of tree limbs and branches falling. Please follow postage signage and do not enter a park that is closed. Residents are encouraged to find alternative places to conduct a litter cleanup, such as neighbourhood boulevards and sidewalks.
