Collections

The Peterborough Museum and Archives is designated as a 'Category A Collecting Institution' under the terms of the Canadian Cultural Property Export/Import Act. This means that we collect, preserve and make cultural property accessible to the public through exhibitions, research and online.

All visits to the archives require an appointment. Call us today to book your visit.

Donations to the archival and artifact collections are always welcome. At the Peterborough Museum & Archives, we are particularly interested in collecting things that help tell the story and history of Peterborough. Please keep this in mind when considering donating to the PMA's collections. We advise prospective donors to call the PMA's curator or archivist to discuss your donation, to ensure it is something the Museum is able to accept.
