Beaches, Wading Pools and Splash Pads

Looking for a place to cool down during the warm and sunny summer days?

The City of Peterborough has two public beaches, three wading pools, as well as seven splash pads across the City.

Each year, lifeguards are on hand to supervise at the beaches and wading pools from the last Saturday in June until about the third week of August. City splash pads (unsupervised) operate daily from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. from May to September.

Additional year-round public swimming, including swimming lessons, are available at the Peterborough Sport and Wellness Centre.
