Peterborough Sport & Wellness Centre

The leisure pool is 20 m in length with three lanes, water slide, and a PoolPod accessible chair lift. The pool is used for fun swims, lane swims, fitness classes, swimming lessons, birthday parties, and day camps. The pool temperature is 81 to 83 F, and total capacity is up to 175 persons.

The therapy pool is a warm, shallow pool with a wheelchair ramp and swirl pool with therapeutic jets and seating. This pool is used for gentle fitness classes, wellness swims, swimming lessons, fun swims, nursery swims, and rentals. The pool temperature is 91 to 93 F, and total capacity is up to 48 persons.

Private Rentals: Private rentals may be Thursdays from 7:30 to 8:30 pm. At least 10 days notice is required prior to booking. Complete a Sport Facility Request Form.

Aquatic Centre rental fees (includes HST)

Fitness comes first at the Centre. We offer a combination of free weights, cardio and weight machines to give you the best work out. Book in with our personal trainers to learn the best machines for your use! The Fitness Centre also offers:

• Drop-in to a fitness class taking place in the aerobic studio, multi-purpose room, or gymnasium.
• Pin-loaded Nautilus strength and conditioning machines
• State-of-the-art Star Trac and Cybex cardio machines
• Free weight section featuring plate-loaded max racks and Smith machines
• Aerobic studio and stretching area
• 100 m indoor walking track. Perfect for those looking for a safe, indoor, climate controlled walking environment. Assisted devices are welcome on the track.
• Accessible fitness equipment and features such as low resistance settings, wheelchair accessible equipment, and recumbent bikes with step-through design for easy entry.
• Access to the High Performance Centre with a personal trainer

The Sport & Wellness Centre offers three changerooms that provide access to the fitness and aquatics centres. Small men’s and women’s changerooms are also available near the gymnasiums. Lockers are for day use only, patrons are encouraged to lock their items and leave valuables at home. Please remove outdoor shoes before entering changeroom. The use of cell phones is strictly prohibited while in the changeroom.

Universal Changeroom

This changeroom provides oversized lockers and private changing stalls, a communal shower area, two private accessible washrooms, a private accessible shower, and an oversized changing stall with automatic lift.

This changeroom is cleaned daily during the below times. The room remains open during cleaning:

• 2 to 2:30 p.m.
• 8 to 8:30 p.m.

Men’s Changeroom (age 14+)

Located next to the fitness centre, this changeroom provides access to lockers, washrooms, private shower stalls, including an oversized stall, and access to a sauna (age 16+). Aquatic centre can be accessed through changeroom when pool is open.

The changeroom is closed daily for cleaning during the following times:

• 2 to 2:30 p.m.
• 7:30 to 8 p.m.

Women’s Changeroom (age 14+)

Located next to the fitness centre, this changeroom provides access to lockers, washrooms, private shower stalls, including an oversized stall, and access to a sauna (age 16+). Aquatic centre can be accessed through changeroom when pool is open. 

The changeroom is closed daily for cleaning during the following times:

• 3:15 to 3:45 p.m.
• 8:45 to 9:15 p.m.

There are three gymnasium spaces at the Centre. A small gym is available, perfect for fitness classes, birthday parties, pick-up basketball and more. We also have a large wooden floor gymnasium, used for Fleming varsity volleyball, and basketball, and house leagues including volleyball, basketball, cricket, pickleball and more. 

The gymnasiums are located at the west end of the Centre and offer their own change rooms, parking lot and entrance.

The Centre offers three multi-purpose rooms used for yoga classes, facility rentals such as corporate meetings and birthday parties, and workshops and training.

The multi-purpose rooms (MPRs) are bright and spacious with large windows. The Sport & Wellness Centre is a one-floor fully accessible facility, with free WiFi, lots of parking, tables and chairs available.

• Three multi-purpose rooms are available that can be booked individually, or as one large space.
• Each room holds up to 30 people, maximum capacity is dependent on layout of the room.
• The MPR rooms are bright and spacious with large windows, include options for a screen and projector, sinks and counterspace and WiFi available.
