Transportation Help

Finding transportation can be difficult when you're living with a low income. We have options for transportation for people living in the City and County of Peterborough.

Ontario Works Clients

Subsidized City Bus Passes:

You may be eligible for a subsidized monthly City bus pass if:

  • You are an adult on Ontario Works living in the City or County of Peterborough and;
  • You do not get money for transportation from your Case Manager

To get a low-cost bus pass bring your Ontario Works statement of assistance for the current month and personal identification to the Peterborough Transit bus terminal at 190 Simcoe St. The cost is $38 to get a 30-day pass.

If you have questions, please speak to your Case Manager.

Medical Transportation:

The expenses that come with travelling to doctor's appointments can be expensive.

If you have medical transportation costs over $15 in a month, you could be reimbursed.

Case Managers will need a copy of the dates of your medical appointments and related travel expenses, such as parking. Please speak with your Case Manager about the possibility of assistance with medical travel related expenses.
